Shamokin Boys Basketball Loses to Mifflinburg Bomb Squad

Shamokin Boys came to play and kept it close early in the game. At the end of the first quarter Shamokin was leading 17 to 14 over the Mifflinburg Wildcats. During the second quarter the Wildcats came out gunning and successfully made six of seven shots from three point land. Going into half time it was the Wildcats on top 39 to 34. Brent Forbes was the leading scorer at halftime with eleven points.
The Wildcats proved to be to much for the Indians in the second half. The Wildcats outscored the Indians 13 to 6 in the third quarter. Brent Forbes paced the Indians with 18 points followed by Deven Craft with 14 points respectfully. Zac Hoy scored 21 points and Corey Murtha finished with 17 for the Wildcats. (Shamokin is 1 - 2 and 0 - 1 in Heartland I).
